VIVARDIS’s Mission

VIVARDIS was founded in March 2021, following the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in particular following the realisation that respiratory care could be improved through technologies that are better suited to and adaptable for patients, and through the optimal flow of information regarding home respiratory care devices (ventilators, oxygen, etc.) to healthcare professionals responsible for the care pathway of patients with chronic respiratory failure.
Ultimately, this strategy aims to improve the patient-ventilator interaction, treatment tolerance and adherence, and, by extension, to reduce hospital costs.

Nivolis™ Devices

VIVARDIS designs devices within the NIVOLIS® range to optimise the care pathway for patients with chronic respiratory failure.
NIV stands for ‘Non-Invasive Ventilation’
NIVOL as in the cloud
Thus, NIVOLIS refers to the product range that enables healthcare professionals (doctors, carers, home healthcare providers) to remotely monitor patients’ appropriate use of respiratory support and to determine any necessary adjustments to their treatment.
The right interaction between the patient and the respiratory support system is the cornerstone of treatment adherence.

Nivolis-Anton:
Transcutaneous capnography remote monitoring

Clinicians frequently request atcPCO₂ check when a patient on NIV returns home, either for routine checks or screening.
The success rate of these home recordings depends on many technical and human factors that are difficult to predict. This leads to increased operational costs (unnecessary travel) or the need to carry out several night-time sessions to obtain a usable reading.
Nivolis-Anton is designed for the remote monitoring and downloading of transcutaneous capnography readings, whether taken at home or in a respiratory medicine department.

Nivol-Loni®:
Remote monitoring of long-term oxygen therapy

Following a prescription from their pulmonologist, patients with chronic hypoxaemia can benefit from long-term treatment involving the regular use of oxygen.
Oxygen sources may be stationary (oxygen concentrator or liquid oxygen cylinder) or portable (portable concentrator or liquid oxygen) for patients leading an active lifestyle.
To date, there is no automated adherence monitoring tool that reports information on patient adherence, oxygen consumption or activity levels. A lack of this information can disrupt the care pathway and lead to increased operational costs (avoidable journeys for oxygen refills or maintenance).
Nivol-Loni isdesigned for the remote monitoring of long-term oxygen therapy by transmitting daily oxygen usage profiles.
NB: Nivol-Loni will beavailable in early 2027

Nivol-Mina®:
Connected polygraph for ventilation

Prescribers frequently request a ventilation check, possibly includingtcPCO₂, when a patient on NIV returns home, for periodic checks or screening.
Complementing Nivolis-Anton, Nivol-Mina will record signals that best characterise the compatibility between the patient and the ventilator and analyse any interactions or asynchronies, in conjunction with thetcPCO₂orSpO₂signal collected by Anton.
NB: Nivol-Mina is currently a device intended for use exclusively on a test bench.
